Homeowners Picnic
Early Sunday afternooon, David Ridenour and Jack DeVos, both members of DeKalb Habitat's board of directors, prepared the charcoal to cook hotdogs and hamburgers.
Kroger stores in Toco Hills and Sage Hill donates fried chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers for the event. We greatly appreciate their contributions.
The picnic pavillion at Exchange Park on Columbia Drive in Decatur was a good setting for this event. There is a playground and lake as well as plenty of tables for eating.
Even the smallest children enjoyed the food.
There was plenty of time for conversation in the shade
The weather wasn't too hot for games like
horseshoes,
Jump rope, and
Baseball.
Everyone had a good time. Thanks to the Board of Directors of DeKalb Habitat for organizing this event.
