A Brush with Kindness enables us to respond to the needs of those who are physically and financially unable to maintain their homes. Helping people like Ms. Thomas:
"I needed a little help, but I never knew they would come out like this. I am so grateful because I know I couldn't have got this work done without them," said Ida Thomas "I have been living in this community for 15 years and this is one of the nicest things someone could do for you."
Habitat for Humanity Dekalb, launched A Brush with Kindness Saturday October 22nd, in the Belvedere
community! This launch is sponsored by Kaiser Permanente and the Healthy Belvedere Initiative.
The focus of the A Brush With Kindness (ABWK) is to provide repairs for those members of our community who are unable to repair their own homes, as well as improving weatherization and energy efficiency. By focusing on one neighborhood at a time, ABWK helps build community and revitalize neighborhoods.
